For the first six months of 2009, there were only 17 rejections of nursery shipments for GWSS viable life stages out of 32,904 shipments.  This gives a success rate of 99.94 percent.  

When GWSS egg masses are found in a shipment, all plants of the species infested are either destroyed, returned to the shipping nursery at their expense, or reconditioned at the discretion of the destination ag commissioner.
